Part-time Museum Guide
The Virginia Sports Hall of Fame & Museum seeks enthusiastic individuals to perform front-line visitor services functions on an hourly, part-time basis. Duties include interpreting exhibits, providing visitor information and conducting demonstrations and tours. Candidates must have excellent public speaking skills, customer service experience, experience leading large groups and must be able to interact with the visitors of all ages including a large number of children. Must be available to work weekdays, holidays and weekends.

The Virginia Sports Hall of Fame & Museum is currently looking for part-time employees to work with the Education Department.
Part-time Museum Educator will facilitate Virginia Sports Hall of Fame Education Programs to schools throughout Central and Southeastern Virginia. Traveling, both to the museum and to surrounding schools, including the Richmond area, is a requirement. Our Museum Educators are representatives of the Hall of Fame while hosting school groups on and off site, and it is vital that you are a professional in both settings. Museum Educators will also assist with office tasks that include, but are not limited to, research, marketing, data entry, and program development.
Lessons are lively, moderately to highly active, and energetic. We are looking for candidates who possess those qualities along with some educational experience. Experience does not have to be professional but previous experience working with children is a must. You must have the flexibility and capability to travel, a valid driver’s license is required and organizational and computer skills are a definite must. The position is part-time and mostly in the day time; however, there are occasional evenings and weekend programs and events; adequate notice will be given.
Hours vary, can work with school and other work schedules but flexibility is a plus.

The Virginia Sports Hall of Fame & Museum has relationships with regional colleges and universities and offers several opportunities for students interested in serving as Interns. Intern programs include:
- Marketing - Assist with the development and implementation of public relations and promotional projects.
- Education - Assist with development of programs, instructional projects and field trips for students from across the region.
