You are invited to beat the heat, at least for one week, this summer with a free round of nine-hole miniature golf, included with admission to the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame & Museum in downtown Portsmouth.

July 14-22, the Hall’s Sports Gallery will again be transformed into a nine-hole indoor “Mini-Golf Challenge" golf course, presented by Special Events Entertainment.  Visitors to the Hall during that week will receive a token with admission good for a free nine-hole round of mini-golf or a ride in the Hall of Fame NASCAR Simulator.  Additional tokens are only $1.

Mini-golf is great for all ages, so bring the family out to the Hall of Fame!

Visit the Final Score gift shop at the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame to enter to win by guessing the number of Norfolk Tides baseballs inside the 2007 Lincoln MKZ, donated by John Kool Lincoln Mercury, that is parked on the Hall of Fame’s front plaza.  Contest opens Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 9:00 AM, and closes Sunday, July 22, 2007 at 5:00 PM.  No purchase necessary to enter.  One entry per person accepted.  All fields on entry form must be completed to be included in final drawing for the Summer Fun Prize Package.

Package, valued at $900, includes gas grill with cover and utensils; picnic tablecloth; beach bag; beach towels; camping chair; sunscreen; digital camera; family membership to the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame; WaWa gas card; gift certificates to Dairy Queen, LazerQuest, Portsmouth Museums, Chrysler Museum of Art, and Wal-Mart; and passes to the Virginia Children’s Festival, sponsored by Norfolk Festevents.

At the close of contest, the entrant with the most accurate guess will be deemed the winner, and will be notified by phone on Monday, July 23, 2007.  In the event of a tie, the contest winner will be determined by random drawing among all those with the closest guess.  Winner must pick up his/her prize from the Hall of Fame by Friday, August 3, 2007, or the prize will be considered forfeited.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received prior to contest closing date.  The Virginia Sports Hall of Fame will not accept entries by phone, fax or any other method not specifically stated herein.
