Girl Scout Shape Up Days:

Daisies and Brownies

Learn the value of proper nutrition and exercise!

Scout Sundays: 
Includes a classroom program and museum tour.

$10 per scout
One adult admitted free

Scout Badge Program Descriptions:

Daisy Petal Programs

Light Blue – Honesty and Fair
The Empty Pot  picture book will illustrate the importance of being honest and the rewards given for being fair. 

Purple – Respect Myself and Others
The Crayon Box That Talked and Hey Little Ant  picture books will illustrate the importance of making the right decisions and respecting other people’s differences. 

Brownie Try It Programs

Eat Right, Stay Healthy
Let’s focus on the food pyramid, reading food labels and healthy food choices.

Girl Sports
Come out and play!  Have a ball learning some sports basics and exploring the VSHFM.

My Body
Learn about your heart and other muscles through fun, hands on activities.

Junior Badge Programs

Food Power
Explore the importance of a balanced diet, food labels and the effects of fat and sugar on the body.

Let’s Get Cooking
Come and learn some supermarket do’s and don’ts while learning how to create a healthy fast food restaurant of your choice.  Also, try your hand at making a healthy afternoon snack.

Highway to Health
Come and turn those unhealthy habits around by learning the importance of sleep, stress reduction and healthy food choices.  Participate in a snack time recipe transformation.

A Healthier You
How do I lead a healthy life?  Activities and discussions relating to self-image, eating disorders and disease prevention included.  Share your knowledge by creating a healthy habit presentation for young girls.

Senior/Cadet

Food Connection
Focusing on planning healthy well balanced meals, food labels, the effects of fat and sugar on the body and much more.  Also included: the creation of a themed menu and healthy habit presentation for young girls.

Creative Cooking
Focusing on choosing fresh and healthy options at the supermarket and planning healthy well-balanced meals.  Also included:  the creation of a meal, menu adaptations and restaurant reviews.

Women’s Health
How can I become a healthier individual?  The effects of stress, drugs, tobacco, sleep, healthy food choices and exercise on the body.  Also included:  the creation of a healthy habits program for young girls.
